February 12, 2012 – Father/Daughter Dance 6 to 8 PM Grand Summit Ballroom, $15 per ticket please purchase tickets in advance by contacting the Bartlett Rec office

March 16, 2012 – Boston Flower Show Seaport World Trade center.  Trip includes luxurious coach bus, show ticket, homemade snacks and prizes.   Price – $45 for Bartlett, Glen, Intervale, Jackson and Madison Residents.  Non – Resident is $50 – pick up locations are Story Land, Glen at 6:30 AM, Madison Church at 7:15 AM.  Approximate return time is 6 PM    to register call the Bartlett Rec dept 374-1952

 

May 25, 2012 – 6th ANNUAL BARTLETT RECREATION GOLF TOURNAMENT at Indian Mound Golf Club – Players, Hole Sponsors and prize donations are needed – This is the Recreation Department’s largest fundraising effort – The proceeds help to fund our ever expanding scholarship efforts, programs, and our longterm planning goals.

July 4, 2012 - the 4th of JULY celebration falls on Wednesday this year

Weekly – KIDS’ KALEIDOSCOPE – The program is for Kindergarten through fourth grade students. The cost of the program will be $5/child & $3 for each additional sibling. The cost does not include a snack. Therefore students should bring their own snack. The program will run Monday through Friday from 3:15 to 5pm. First Grade through Fourth grade students will be able to utilize the late bus. Kindergarteners are not allowed to take the late bus! Pickup time will be 5pm sharp for those students not going on the late bus.

Kids’ Kaleidoscope will have an Arts & Craft project, time allocated for physical activity, snack time, and storytime or homework time.

RECENT EVENTS

October 2011 – Bartlett Recreation 5/6 Soccer team won the Carroll County Soccer tournament, Very proud of the boys and girls for a great season and being Champions of Carroll County.

November 2011- Holiday Craft Fair was another great success. Thank you to all the crafters that attended and all the wonderful people that came out to shop. Thank you to the White Mountain Cupcakery for donating 50 % of there sales on this day to our fields and facility fund.

November 2011- Thank you to everyone that came out and had breakfast with Santa. It was a great morning had by young and old. A special thank you to the Masonic Temple in North Conway for everything they have done to make this a great success for the Bartlett Recreation Dept. Happy Holidays to everyone

January 2012 – Pizza fundraiser for fields and facility fund -  Thank you to the Shannon Door Restaurant and Pub for hosting this great night.  Thank you to all that braved the snow to come out and support a great cause.  Thank you to all the local businesses that donated such great prizes for our raffle.   It was a fun night and was a great success.

2012 ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

Our Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Friday May 25, 2012.   Indian Mound Golf Club will again be hosting the event

PLAYERS:  Register your foursome early, space is limited.  The $85 fee per player includes greens fees, golf cart, continental breakfast, lunch, giveaways, warm fuzzies, and loads of fun!  If you can’t put together a full team we may be able to help you  round out your foursome.  Either way you can still register and still be eligible for the individual prizes.    

PRIZES:  Prizes will be awarded for team gross & net for men’s, ladies and mixed teams.  Also the longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin on all par 3 holes will be awarded prizes.   There is a special prize for closest to the pin on the 4th hole.  There are also raffle prizes galore.

SPONSORS ARE NEEDED!  Your donation is tax-deductible.

HOLE SPONSOR: $100.  This entitles you to a sign with your business name on one of the 18 holes during the tournament.  You will also be listed on the sponsor sign at the club house and you will be listed in the program. 

RAFFLE & PRIZE DONOR: Donations of goods, gift certificates, services, merchandise, or whatever you can give would help make our
golf tournament a success. Of course, cash contributions are always welcome. Your contributions will be used towards silent auctions, live
auctions, raffles and prizes.  You will be listed on the sponsor sign at the club house and you will be listed in the program. 

WELCOME BAG DONORS:   Every player receives a welcome bag.  What a great way to advertise your business!  Put your advertising and promotional items into the hands of your customers.  Anything and everything is appreciated; goodies, snacks, free gifts, product samples, coupons, special offers and other advertising trinkets.    Please provide enough for 150 bags.

Contributions may be mailed, delivered or picked up.

VOLUNTEERS are needed throughout the day.  We need people to help set up or clean up, to be stationed at various holes to keep scores for prizes, sell raffle tickets, provide relief to volunteers on the course, etc.  Any amount of time you can offer is helpful and appreciated.  Volunteers are invited to the luncheon after the tournament.

The monies raised from the tournament will benefit the recreation department’s efforts to offer quality programs and future development.  The Bartlett Recreation Department operates almost entirely on donations and fundraising.  Jonathan Rivers of the Indian Mound Golf Club has once again given us the use of his facilities at a nominal fee to assist us in this venture.  We hope you find it possible to be as generous.

Winter 2011-12 Programs

Junior Nordic Ski Program registrations are available. It is open to Bartlett and Jackson students in grades 1 through 8.
