The weekend of the egg hunt was moved to coincide with the delicious pancake breakfast that was being hosted by the 5th Grade Maple Sugar Program. This joint effort, coupled with the exceptional weather brought out record numbers for both events.
The hunt starts promptly at 10:00 and the eager children waste no time in getting the task done.
Children were divided into the following groups: Preschool & kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grades, 3rd & 4th grades, and 5th & 6th grades.
There are over 2,000 hidden eggs. Each group also had one Golden Egg that earned a special prize for its lucky finder. During the hunt the judges selected the best decorated basket from each age group.
Light refreshments are served after the hunt although many schedule their arrival so they can still enjoy the pancake breakfast after the hunt. Everyone in the community is invited to participate in the morning long festivities. Thank you to everyone who came out and support the Bartlett Recreation Department and the Fifth Grade Maple Sugar Program.
Anyone wishing to co-sponsor this year’s Easter Egg Hunt is encouraged to contact the recreation department. Donations of filled eggs, golden egg or decorated basket prizes, decorations, refreshments, raffle prizes, and of course monies are always welcome. What a great way to get way to get your business noticed.
As usual, VOLUNTEERS are always needed and welcomed.
Thank you everyone for your continued participation and support of the Bartlett Recreation Department
