The annual Tree Lighting ceremony is a wonderful way for the community to come together and usher in the holiday season.
The 2011 festivities will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2011. The Josiah Bartlett Elementary School band will perform in the school gym at 3:00 PM. At 4:00 PM the program moves across the street to Gazebo Park where we are greeted by the elves singing Jingle Bells. The Bartlett Selectmen and other invited dignitaries will welcome everyone. The names on the Memory Lights plaque will be read followed by a moments of silence. Santa will be on hand to pass out candy canes and throw the switch, lighting the giant Christmas tree. Hot chocolate and refreshment with be available.
